Example 1: The Battle of Clontarf Video Series (Historyhub.ie)
Real Smart Media was commissioned to make this special two-part video series for Historyhub.ie to mark 1000 years since the Battle of Clontarf. The videos feature contributions from UCD historians Dr Elva Johnston, Dr Eamon O’Flaherty, Dr Conor Mulvagh and Dr Meidhbhín Ní Úrdail of the School of Irish, Celtic Studies, Irish Folklore & Linguistics. The videos were directed, edited and promoted by Real Smart Media. Together the videos have been viewed more than 10,000 times on Youtube.
Example 2: The Royal College of Science for Ireland Video Series (Centre for the History of Medicine in Ireland)
Real Smart Media was commissioned by the UCD Centre for the History of Medicine in Ireland and UCD Special Collections to make this two-part video series on the library of the Royal College of Science for Ireland. The library is one of the most comprehensive Victorian science libraries in existence. It is unique in Ireland and UCD Library has had the privilege of inheriting this vast collection of approximately 15,000 items. The videos explore the history of the library and also feature a number of highlights from the collection.
